Accoras is proud to deliver Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Centre’s BRiTA Futures in the Brisbane area. BRiTA Futures is series of workshops delivered to groups. We work with a wide range of age groups and cultural backgrounds delivering two formats:
Young People aged 5 – 18 delivered through local schools
Adults - suitable for anyone from a diverse cultural background
Working with young people:
This program is for you if you are living between two (or more) cultures. It is fun with lots of different activities, and it will help you develop a variety of skills to help navigate life. Each group session is different, with topics like:
Exploring your own and other cultures;
Healthy habits of thinking and feeling;
Communication differences across cultures;
Healthy conflict resolution;
Humour and managing stress.
Working with adults:
This program is designed to support people from diverse cultures develop a deeper connection to their new country, community and culture. Each session will include information and fun activities to practice new skills. Some topics include:
Exploring your own and other cultures;
Migration and role changes;
Values and spirituality;
Healthy habits of thinking and feeling;
Conflict resolution;
Humour and managing stress.
