We are an outreach service, we come to you!

We welcome referrals from community members and other service providers.

 We help people who have moved to Australia in the last five years, to feel more settled and comfortable in their new home and community.

Accoras is funded by the Department of Home Affairs to provide support across the Brisbane region to individuals and families who are humanitarian entrants or other vulnerable migrants in their first five years in Australia. We aim to equip people with the knowledge and skills to identify, understand and take action to address their identified settlement needs, with a focus on social participation, economic wellbeing, independence, personal well-being and community connectedness.

SETS services are delivered to clients in their first five years of life in Australia in specific visa categories.

The Accoras SETS Program services the wider Brisbane region.

We provide a range of flexible and holistic services for individuals, families and their communities. We provide outreach support and will meet our clients in their home, in the community or at a children or young person’s school.

We help by:

  • Partnering with the client to determine the appropriate support required and deliver an intervention tailored to meet agreed-upon goals;

  • Delivering targeted youth services focusing on employment and education support, along with in school group programs; and

  • Consulting with communities to understand their needs, discuss issues, needs, and challenges affecting the settlement and integration.

We have access to interpreting services to support our engagement with clients who speak languages other than English.
