Getting a referral
If you would like to access Medicare rebates for your sessions through the ‘Better Access’ initiative, you will need a referral (and Mental Health Treatment Plan, if your referrer is a GP).
Make a 'long' appointment with your GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist, and ask about a referral through ‘Better Access’.
If the referrer agrees that you would benefit from therapy, please ask them to send your referral to us.
When we receive your referral, our friendly team will contact you to match you to a practitioner, and help you book an appointment.
You are entitled to some sessions that attract a Medicare rebate in each calendar year.
About Mental Health Treatment Plans
Also known as a Mental Health Care Plan, a MHTP is written by your GP to help you access support to improve your mental health and wellbeing. Download information about MHTPs
